Jeremy Lin Foundation Launch Party

The Jeremy Lin Foundation raised more than $150,000 during the Foundation’s NBA All-Star Weekend Launch Party. Held at Minute Maid Park, the sold-out event raised funds through sponsorship sales, auctions, and donations including Charity Buzz’s auction of a brand new 2013 Volvo XC60 and an authentic, autographed Lin jersey. Proceeds from the Launch Party will help support programs of the Jeremy Lin Foundation including The Making a Difference Project.

Cause

The Launch Party generated funds in support of the Foundation and its mission to love and serve children and youth, by providing hope, empowerment, and leadership development. As part of the festivities, the Foundation announced its first initiative, The Making a Difference Project. After going undrafted and being cut by multiple teams, Jeremy’s incredible story is a testament to the power of an opportunity. Through the Project, 3 Houston community organizations that are making an impact with youth received a financial grant from the Foundation. Through a social media campaign, the public had the opportunity to donate to the project and vote for the organization of their choice. PAIR received the most votes and will enjoy the additional benefit of visits and appearances by Jeremy for a year.
